Ananda matha Ashram is a monastery of Cistercian Nuns (OCSO) situated near kalpetta town in the District of Wayanad in Kerala. A monastery is a place where sisters live together. They are called nuns. We lead a monastic life characterized by the search for God while praying, sharing a fraternal life, providing manual work, attending church offices seven time a day and welcoming people. Our liturgy of prayer is open to everybody. We have a small guesthouse for individual retreat. Our community lived in Makkiyad from 1988 and moved to Kunnambetta, in the same district, on Christmas 2009.
